Show & Tell
Jewelry "Books" by Russ Amos, First Prize Winner in Fine
Woodworking's 2009 Holiday Gift Contest
Writes,
Fine Woodworking, "Russ
Amos' project was a perfect example of creative problem solving. In
a bid to prevent his jewelry box from screaming "I contain jewels"
to any would-be thieves, Amos fashioned his box in the form of a row
of books.
The faux books, which were made from a variety of wood species
including oak, walnut and hickory, lift up to reveal nine drawers
and even a couple of hidden compartments squirreled away in the book
ends."
