Modern Mule Logging and Restorative Forestry Thomas McConnell of Missouri Woods, is a new friend of the Guild and a source of green, air dried and Kiln dried native woods, potential for a field trip, a source of future articles, or a meeting program. Missouri Woods is a small business situated 45 minutes northeast of Kansas City (east of Excelsior Springs) that practices a form of low impact, mule logging commonly called "restorative forestry" and also operates a bandsaw that can handle logs up to 24' and 33" in diameter.
