Text Box: The Kansas City Woodworkers Guild attempts to bring amateur and professional craftspeople, all types, together.
The guilds members range from Woodturners to cabinetmakers to toy-makers and more.

The primary purpose of the Kansas City Woodworkers Guild is to promote the craft of woodworking, and assist in the improvement of members’ skills. This is accomplished through seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and networking with other guild members.

The Guild is an active participant in the community. Members spend some of their time making toys that are then donated at Christmas to area non-profit organizations. The guild makes “Grief Boxes”, house-like boxes for Hospice and Centering Point (Children's Mercy Hospital) for use in their “Grief” camps.

The Guild also hosts special seminars by noted woodworkers that are made accessible to KCWG members at discounted rates. Meetings are held at Roanoke Presbyterian Church at 1617 Wyoming St. in Kansas City, just north of 43rd St.
